My name is David J. Darling (Rev. DJ).
I live in upstate New York. I am now a widower. I lived with my husband (as of 8/7/11) of 16 years until he passed away on July 21st, 2013. I have two cats named Precious and Sassy.
I completed my BA in grief psychology in April 2013. And I was a full-time caregiver for my husband, who was dying at home with my care and Hospice care from a terminal-illness.
I am one of ten children. I am number six out of the ten. I have six sisters and three brothers. I have learned early on to work my buttocks off to get what I want out of life and to do the best I can to succeed.
I received my Associate’s Degree in Psychology in October of 2010. My life has changed in several ways the past years and my callings were shown to me. In January of 2008, my husband’s aunt died of cancer. In May of 2008, our next door neighbor hung himself in his basement. In June of 2008, my father passed away from cancer. In July of 2008, a friend died of a massive heart attack at 48 years old. And, now, I am dealing with with my husband passing.
In February 2012, I became an ordained non-denominational minister. In March of 2012, I became Associate Pastor for the Universal Life Ministries.
I do the best I can in life and live each day to the fullest. I love to learn and have fun at the same time. I have the passion to help others! My life mottoes are: “Love like there is no tomorrow and have fun while doing it.” & ” No Jesus, No Peace: Know Jesus, Know Peace!”.
I provide spiritual and practical counseling to individuals, couples and groups (regardless of sex, age, race, sexual orientation, or disability). I am, also, a life coach helping others manage life’s roller coaster ride.
